Good interiors are not decoration added at the end. At Atelier do Lago, interior design is developed together with the architecture — so light, materials, joinery and furniture belong to the building from the very first sketch.
Materials chosen by hand
We choose stone, timber, tiles and surfaces by hand, at our table in Almancil. The aim is warmth, durability and a calm, timeless atmosphere.
Our interiors are detailed in the execution project, so contractors and craftsmen know exactly what to build.
Homes and hospitality
We design interiors for private villas as well as for restaurants and hospitality spaces. O Rústico in Caramujeira, Lagoa, shows our approach: the 2021 renovation kept the restaurant's roots — exposed stone and Portuguese cobbles — and added a slatted timber ceiling, deep blue walls, a wine wall and a bar clad in blue and white tiles.

Because the same team designs the building and its interiors, there are no gaps between disciplines — and the client has one point of contact from concept to the finished space.
